BroadcastAsia2006 International Conference features strong speaker line up
Conference promises to create more opportunities to interact and exchange knowledge

SINGAPORE – February 27, 2006 – This year’s BroadcastAsia International Conference, a highly anticipated knowledge exchange forum for the broadcasting and multimedia industry, will feature leading gurus including Mr. Reggie Bradford, president of TANDBERG Television and Mr. Robert Chua, founder of Asia’s first interactive cross media channel.

The BroadcastAsia International Conference will take place at the Singapore Expo from 19-22 June, 2006 alongside BroadcastAsia2006. BroadcastAsia is Asia’s premier broadcasting and multimedia technology event.

Delegates will benefit from Mr. Reggie Bradford’s keen insight and experience as an entrepreneur and visionary within the global internet and television business. As president of TANDBERG Television, Reggie plays a pivotal role in enabling customers to realise the full potential of their video networks. His primary focus is providing content providers and network operators in the Americas region with the world's most advanced live and on-demand digital video solutions.

Reggie comes to TANDBERG Television from its acquisition of N2 Broadband in February 2005, the leading provider of open-platform solutions for on-demand entertainment, where he was President and CEO since early 2001.

Mr. Robert Chua will be presenting an address on ‘Cross Media’ Interactive TV Channels, during the conference’s Interactive TV session. Robert is a pioneer of terrestrial television in Hong Kong where he launched TVB. He brought Hong Kong audience their first and longest running variety show Enjoy Yourself Tonight and created the first Miss Hong Kong pageant.

The satellite channel CETV Robert founded in 1994 secured AOL-Time Warner as his partner. In late 2003 he sold his entire CETV stake to Time Warner to concentrate on pioneering the world's first 'cross-media' interactive channel TIC (The Interactive Channel) which launched in December 2004.
The conference will present 11 tracks covering a wide spectrum of pertinent technology and business issues facing Asia’s broadcasting and multimedia industry today. These include:

According to Martin Salter, conference director for the BroadcastAsia International Conference, “I am excited about the line-up of topics that address the hot issues facing the fast changing dynamics of the electronic media industry - from the large screen experience of D-Cinema, through to the opportunities of IPTV, and the new challenges of content creation and delivery to mobile devices.”

This year’s conference promises to be more interactive. To further enhance the conference, more discussions and panel sessions have been included in the programme. These include two industry dialogues focusing on content development & delivery.
