Another Breakthrough Idea from Media Maverick - Robert Chua!

New Game show to premiere on SPH MediaWorks "Everyone Wins"

SPH MediaWorks Limited, 13 January 2002- One of Asia's early pioneers of broadcasting Robert Chua has once again shown his talent for writing and creating top-rated entertainment programmes for the viewing public but setting an all new standard in the arena of game shows in the creation of the new game show "Everyone Wins".

Two new game-mechanisms introduced:
Similar in terms of cash prizes to the current game format of "Who wants to be a Millionaire?", this new game show will be attempting to create new boundaries to the cash prizes winnings:

1. Home Viewers have a stake in the cash prizes:
The cash winnings are not limited to just the TV contestants, but will instead be opened up to viewers at home. Helping the TV contestant to answer the quiz while at the same time using their negotiating abilities on the TV contestant will help decide how much they stand to gain in helping to provide the answer.

2. Double the Risk factor:
An added dimension to the game is the additional risk factor that contestants will have to either double or triple their winnings or risk all their earnings for their competitor's lower earnings instead. This is known as the 'Swap Rounds' where opportunities are rendered in the game for contestants to try and swap their points with their competitors, with a catch ?they do not know the scores the others have obtained.

"Everyone Wins" will be having its maiden debut on Hong Kong media giant TVB this year. Commenting on SPH MediaWorks collaboration with Mr Robert Chua, MediaWorks Chief Operations Officer Mr Man Shu Sum said, "I am sure that with the anticipation of the media hype and reaction in Hong Kong, that we will be able to replicate the same if not better the response in Singapore for this novel game idea. With a robust personality such as Robert's and his keen eye for developing good entertainment programmes, we are happy to be able to work together with a renowned TV content creator, and we are confident that this novel game idea would entice our viewers to take part and watch the game show."

"Everyone Wins" is expected to be telecast over MediaWorks' two channels at the end of the year. More details will be released at a later date.
