NATPE Announces Nominations for 2005 Co-Chairpersons and Board

NATPE ANNOUNCES NOMINATIONS FOR 2005 CO-CHAIRPERSONS AND BOARD
Stephen J. Davis and John Weiser Nominated to Serve as Co-Chairpersons for Second Term. Batista, Chua, Green, Itkin, Kagan, Katz, Segal, Westlake, Wilson Nominated to Board.

Los Angeles, December 30, 2004 - Stephen J. Davis, President, Granada America, and John Weiser, President, Distribution, Sony Pictures Television, have been nominated to a second term as Co-Chairpersons of the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE). This term will continue through the NATPE 2006 Conference & Exhibition. The announcement was made today by Rick Feldman, President and CEO of NATPE.

Mr. Weiser and Mr. Davis also announced new nominees to the NATPE Board of Directors, including Rich Battista, CEO Gemstar-TV Guide International; Robert Chua, Founder/Chairman, The Interactive Channel Company; Peggy Green, President, Zenith Media USA; Mark Itkin, Executive Vice President Worldwide, William Morris Agency; Russ Kagan, Managing Director, Proteus Telitas (US), Inc.; David Katz, Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, CBS Entertainment; Rebecca Segal, Senior Vice President, Sky Networks (USA); Blair Westlake, Corporate Vice President, Media/Entertainment/Technology, Microsoft; and Ed Wilson, President, Fox TV Network.

The nominations are pending formal ratification from NATPE’s voting membership during the association’s annual business meeting on Thursday, January 27th.

During the second year of their tenures as Co-Chairpersons, Mr. Davis and Mr. Weiser will continue to oversee NATPE’s Executive Committee, which is responsible for supervising the preparation of the association’s annual budget, advising NATPE’s Board of Directors and making recommendations on all of the organization’s business and presiding as chairpersons for both the NATPE 2005 and NATPE 2006 Conference & Exhibition. The Committee includes NATPE Member Representatives Emerson Coleman, Vice President, Programming, Hearst-Argyle Television; international television consultant Gary Marenzi; and Mr. Wilson. There are four ex-officio members of the NATPE Executive Committee including, Mickey Gardner, Law Offices of Michael R. Gardner and NATPE Washington counsel; Lew Klein, President NATPE Educational Foundation; Dick Lippin, chairman and CEO The Lippin Group; and Arnold Peter, partner, Lord Bissell & Brook LLP.

Mr. Davis stated, “This is a formidable Board of Directors representing a significant cross section of the businesses that are so vital to NATPE. It will be a pleasure to work with this group over the coming year in helping to shape the future of our association.”
